Loro Piana 2/27 Cashmere - Farinata
1350 m per 100g
Italian mill yarn
Loro Piana works with fine natural fibres and is especially associated with cashmere. Pure Light Fiber occasionally obtains new, unused Loro Piana yarn from surplus sources and makes it available in limited deadstock lots.
Start with the yarn count, metreage per 100g and total available cone weight. A fine single or plied industrial yarn may be intended for machine knitting, but hand knitters can often combine multiple strands to reach a practical gauge.
Swatch with the same number of strands, needles and finishing method planned for the garment. Wash the swatch before measuring it: cashmere fabric often becomes fuller and softer after finishing. Buy enough for the complete project because matching deadstock dye lots usually cannot be reordered.
Pure Light Fiber lists new, unused deadstock attributed to Loro Piana, especially cashmere and other fine natural-fibre yarn. Composition, count and metreage are stated on each individual product.
Availability through Pure Light Fiber depends on independent deadstock lots reaching the secondary market. It is not a permanent mill catalogue, and an identical yarn may not return after it sells out.
Deadstock is finite by definition. The carousel below reflects the products currently enabled and available rather than displaying discontinued or unavailable inventory.
Use the product's metres per 100g and your pattern's required metreage, then confirm the fabric with a washed swatch. Our cone-yarn substitution guide explains the full process.
Available deadstock changes as individual lots sell out. Product pages show the current cone options, price and stock.
