Linen is a classic warm-weather fibre with excellent breathability, moisture absorption and strength. It creates fabric with natural texture and a relaxed, timeless appearance. Fresh linen can feel crisp and structured, but one of its most appealing qualities is the way it becomes softer and more supple through washing and wear.

Our linen yarn comes from limited deadstock production and may include pure linen or carefully balanced blends. Silk can add softness and drape; wool or cashmere can introduce warmth and elasticity while retaining linen's dry handle and structure. Choose Linen by Fabric, Not Only Weight

Metres per 100g provide a useful comparison between cone yarns, but linen's construction and blend determine how the fabric feels. Knit a generous swatch, wash it gently and let it dry before assessing gauge, softness and drape. The swatch also shows whether the selected needle size creates the openness and movement you want. Because a deadstock colour or blend may be available only once, order the complete project meterage when possible.
