Fluid Deadstock Viscose Yarn and Blends

Viscose is a regenerated plant-based fibre known for a smooth texture, cool touch and fluid movement. It takes colour beautifully and can give knitted or woven fabric an elegant, flowing drape. Our deadstock viscose selection comes from finite surplus lots and often appears in blends designed to balance softness with structure and durability.

Viscose can soften and enhance other fibres. With ramie, it adds fluidity to ramie's strength, freshness and stitch definition. With linen, it can create a softer, more flowing summer fabric; with wool, it can lighten the handle and add movement. These blends are well suited to summer tops, scarves and garments where drape is as important as surface texture.

Swatch for Drape and Stability

Choose viscose cone yarn by its complete fibre composition and metres per 100g, rather than assuming every viscose blend will behave alike. Knit and wash a generous swatch to see how the fabric relaxes, how much it moves and whether it holds the shape required by your pattern. Allow it to dry fully before measuring gauge. Follow the care guidance for all fibres in the blend and avoid twisting the fabric when wet. Since deadstock lots are limited, calculate and order the full project meterage in advance.
